Because Water-based gravure printing is accomplished only when ink, film, printing cylinders,printing techniques and printing machine are properly coordinated, ORIENT has launched into Water-based printing development project as realizing our roles and duties. We have a clear vision of Water-based printing systems as an optimal total package based on the customer’s life-cycle profitability.
Dryer systems
“Zone system”, two independent heat-source units are installed, to enhance the dyring performance. This notably improves drying efficiency by making a distinction between the first and the second half in the drying process to control parameters independently.
Doctor systems
Doctor-Angle-Optimal-System (DAOS) was newly developed to prevent Doctor-related troubles such as fogging or streaking, which are more likely to occur with Water-based printing. DAOS easily maintains the optimal angle at any Cylinder diameters.
Driven cooling rolls
Cooling roll driving system contributes further assuring of Water-based printing quality by reducing the friction between the ink surface and the rolls, thus preverting ink coming-off, bleed,and blocking.
